‘Water Soakage’
This painting tells the story of the water course through the desert and are handed down from generation to generation to teach people how to find water and survive in the desert.
Louise Numina’s
‘Medicine Leaves’
This collection reflects the abundance of leaves blowing around in Louise’s country after a rain. The resin of the leaves are extracted by boiling them and mixing them with kangaroo fat to form a paste.
The paste is used to heal cuts, wounds and bites and also as an insect repellant.
